At Kenyan Community in Ontario (KCO), our dedicated team of directors plays a vital role in guiding our organization, shaping our initiatives, and ensuring the fulfillment of our mission. Get to know the leaders who are committed to driving positive change within our community.

President
Dr. Charles Wambulwa, MD
As the president of KCO, Charles leads the organization with vision and purpose to advance its mission. He brings a wealth of experience in community development and a deep commitment to positively impact the community. With a strong focus on reorganization and rejuvenation, Dr Wambulwa is a change agent that empowers KCO to make a difference in the lives of those it serves. His leadership inspires other like-minded individuals who share a similar passion to join the organization and collectively work together towards a brighter future for the community.
Secretary
Phoebe Kagumba-Sibanda
Phoebe serves as the secretary of the KCO Board and holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce amongst several certifications she has received over the years in her career as a Finance Specialist, and currently Operations Consultant with one of the five major Canadian Banks.
Phoebe is also a Certified Life and Executive Coach.
When not at work in the corporate world, Phoebe serves community through her leadership role in the Kenyan Community in Ontario, and as a community mentor. She is a member of the Lions Clubs International where she serves through Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club. She is also the Chair of the Lions Clubs District A711-New Voices Initiative Committee, where she and her committee have outreach projects that serve the underrepresented members of Community.


Treasurer
Jeremy Awori
Jeremy oversees the KCO Treasury - all financial matters.
Volunteering has been in Jeremy's DNA. He has served as an assistant treasurer for his alma mater Salem State University - Alumni Association as well as the Salem State University Foundation Board.
Jeremy was also the President of Quincy College Student Association.
These individuals bring a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to their volunteer roles, working tirelessly to serve the needs of our community and advance our collective goals. Together, they embody the spirit of leadership, collaboration, and integrity that defines KCO.
